BEAUTIFUL Cookies!!

I'm really bad at crafts, but I love them anyway. Thankfully, I have friends that are really GOOD at crafts. I went over to Megan's apartment last weekend and we had a great time catching up and making cookies for a bridal shower! Actually, she baked them before I got there and then I watched her ice them. So WE didn't really make them, but she did have me ice some extra cookies afterwards.

For the shower, Megan made the cutest teacup and teapot cookies. I actually did not get to see the finished product because she had to wait a day before she did the top coat which really makes them look amazing (check out her blog to see what her cookies look like)! These cookies not only look better than anything you will find in stores or bakeries, but they taste great too! Thanks for having me over, Megan!

Adoption Shirt Design

Well I thought this would be a good subject for my first real post. Several couples at my church are in the process of international adoption. I love the heart behind adoption because it is precisely what God did for us. We were fatherless, but God sent Christ as our ransom and adopted us as sons and daughters.

I designed this shirt for my friends who already have three boys and hope to adopt a little girl! We wanted to show that the gospel shines through adoption. All of the words on the shirt have to do with adoption, but the gospel is also clearly presented in the blueish color.

The shirts aren't printed yet, but I am really excited about getting them done, and I hope other people like them enough to support adoption!

I MIGHT Start Blogging

...if I can make this blogspot thing look halfway decent. I think blogging would be an easy way to post things people keep asking me to see like poster designs, pictures, logos and other random things I design, and maybe some other cute crafty things. If you have any ideas, I would love to hear them. Oh wait, you won't comment, mostly because you, the reader, don't exist. That's probably got a lot--not all--to do with the fact that I haven't told people about this blog yet.

But this is a big step for me, so I'm going to keep going. Hopefully writing this will motivate me to write more. And maybe even tell a person or two about it. We'll see. Can't make any promises. Yet.
